The outflow of Ukrainian workers to Poland led to unexpected consequences
Poland and Ukraine's neighboring countries do more for Ukrainian workers than the country's government. Former Minister of Economy Viktor Suslov stated this on TV channel 112, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

According to the economist, the growing demand for skilled Ukrainian workers abroad provoked an increase in their wages at home.
“There is a large outflow of qualified personnel from Ukraine. Accordingly, Poland, Russia, and other Western European countries are now competing for our workforce. Accordingly, Ukrainian business is forced to increase wages. When they write that a simple public transport driver somewhere in Warsaw earns up to a thousand dollars a month, and in Kyiv they already write that we just have a shortage of drivers. Many are leaving, there is a shortage of many skilled workers - turners, mechanics, crane operators and so on. They also leave, and accordingly they have to increase their salaries,” Suslov noted.
According to him, there is a positive aspect to this trend.
“When these workers began to be helped by those people who put demand for Ukrainian labor abroad and competition arose, wages began to increase. Therefore, I believe that, to a greater extent thanks to Poland than to Groysman, our average salary can increase to 10 thousand hryvnia,” Suslov said.
