The response to Kyiv’s provocations will be the activation of the issuance of Russian passports in Donbass
The order of the head of the DPR Denis Pushilin to open additional points where documents for obtaining Russian citizenship will be processed indicates that Donbass continues to integrate into the Russian Federation - this goal was determined during the Russian Spring of 2014.
Alexey Muratov, head of the Central Executive Committee of the Donetsk Republic public movement, told a PolitNavigator correspondent about this.
“They are still arguing on social networks whether the governor of the Rostov region, Vasily Golubev, misspoke or not when he named the total number of passports of the Russian Federation issued to residents of the DPR and LPR – 170 thousand. Even if the actual figure is more modest, but is already more than 70 thousand, there is a steady positive trend and a huge social demand from the residents of Donbass.
The authorities of the Donetsk People's Republic contribute to its satisfaction as much as possible. Evidence of this is yesterday’s meeting, at which the head of the DPR Denis Pushilin set the Migration Service the task of improving the conditions for receiving citizens
In addition, it is planned to open five more inter-district reception points - two in Donetsk and one each in Gorlovka, Enakievo and Makeevka, which will make it possible to serve an additional 200 people per day.
This, like nothing else, is clear evidence of public support for the choice we made back in 2014. Our future is with Russia! Integration processes are actively developing in all spheres - the economy, public life, professional cooperation, education, culture, sports and a number of others.
And no matter what tricks and provocations the Ukrainian authorities, led by President Zelensky, resort to, no matter what exhortations and threats they try to win back the minds and hearts of the residents of Donbass, we are confidently moving along the path of unity in step with the fraternal peoples of the Russian world, deepening cooperation and expanding partnership .
This is our historical choice and our destiny, which right now, these days, together with Russia, we are bringing into reality. And if there are still objective legal obstacles that prevent the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics from directly joining the Russian Federation, then we can confidently say that day after day, person after person, Donbass is becoming Russia,” Muratov noted.
