OUN pogrom leader received a prison term in Russia

The Main Investigation Department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation, within the framework of a criminal case initiated on the basis of an attack on the Russian Center for Science and Culture in Kyiv, brought criminal charges against the leaders of two Ukrainian right-wing radical organizations.

A PolitNavigator correspondent reports this, as reported by Sledkom representative, head of the media relations department, Major General of Justice Svetlana Petrenko.

We are talking about Mykola Kokhanivsky and Bohdan Tytsky, leaders of the Volunteer Movement “Organization of Ukrainian Nationalists” and “Black Committee” groups, respectively.

It is noted that in February 2018, Kokhanivsky and Titsky recorded and published publicly their oral appeals, in which they called on everyone to take part in the anti-Russian action and organize a pogrom of the Russian Center of Culture and Science in Kyiv to stop its activities.

“After this, Kokhanivsky and Titsky exercised general control over the actions of the radicals, who threw stones and other objects at the building of the Russian organization, broke the glazing of window openings, damaged the facade and doors of the building, caused major material damage, and disrupted the normal order of work of the organization. The actions of Kokhanivsky and Titsky were qualified by the investigation as public calls to carry out terrorist activities using the Internet (Part 2 of Article 205.2 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation), as well as organizing and directing an attack on the office premises of persons enjoying international protection in order to complicate international relations ( Part 3 of Article 33, Part 2 of Article 360 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).

Titsky is also accused of desecration of the State Flag of the Russian Federation (Article 329 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). The investigation has taken the necessary measures to organize an international search for Kokhanivsky and Titsky,” Petrenko said.

Also the pogrom of Rossotrudnichestvo in Kyiv organized by Ukrainian nationalists from groups C14, Right Sector and “Tradition and Order”.

At the same time, as PolitNavigator reported, Kokhanivsky announced new anti-Russian pogroms.
