Ovsyannikov publicly attacked USC
Sevastopol Governor Dmitry Ovsyanikov criticized the management of Sevmorzavod, part of the United Shipbuilding Corporation (USC).
“In general, I have a not entirely favorable assessment of the activities of your leadership, which, having a resource in the form of a federal target program, a state program for the military-industrial complex, is moving very slowly to change the situation with the production base of Sevmorzavod.” So far there are no other smaller orders that will actually load production capacity. We talked about this with USC,” Ovsyannikov said.
He was critical of the idea of merging Sevmorzavod with the 13th ship repair plant of the Black Sea Fleet.
“Therefore, it is strange how the project of unification with the 13th ship repair plant, which fulfills its production program somewhat better, can be effectively implemented. And the size of the enterprise is larger, and the competencies have been preserved. Questions for management. We will soon end with this attitude towards our activities,” Ovsyannikov said.
Previously, the Ovsyannikov government forcibly terminated the land and property lease agreement with the South Sevastopol shipbuilding plant and transferred the production site to the Vympel enterprise, part of the Kalashnikov concern.
