The expectation of stabilization of the situation in the country has a detrimental effect on the banking system of Ukraine
Kyiv, May 25 (Navigator, Vladimir Mikhailov) – UAH 30-40 billion leave the Ukrainian banking system every month. Presidential elections will help reverse this trend, says Stanislav Arzhevitin, Chairman of the Council of the Association of Ukrainian Banks.

The most dangerous thing for a state’s financial system is waiting. People put off many decisions in anticipation of changes for the better, which has a bad effect on the economy and financial system. This opinion was expressed live on the ZIK TV channel by Stanislav Arzhevitin.
“You can often hear now: “Let’s do it after the elections, let’s put it off until the elections,” he says. Due to the fact that people are waiting for changes to do something, the Ukrainian banking system is suffering greatly: people are closing deposits. Every month about 30-40 billion UAH flows out of it, and over the last three months - about 70 billion.
Now the population has already accumulated 450-550 billion UAH.
“Of course, the National Bank compensates banks for losses of funds, but this trend should stop after the elections. This money can become a source of development of the national economy,” the expert believes.
