Horrible figures for Ukrainian Armed Forces losses in the Nikolaev-Krivoy Rog direction have been announced
An attempt by the Ukrainian Armed Forces to resume the offensive in the Nikolaev-Krivoy Rog direction resulted in the defeat of the 57th motorized infantry brigade and the destruction of tanks and aircraft.
This was stated at a briefing in Moscow by the official representative of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation Igor Konashenkov, the correspondent of PolitNavigator reports.
“During the unsuccessful attacks on the settlements of Arkhangelskoye, Olgino and Ternovye Pody, the enemy suffered significant losses and was driven back by Russian troops. In the area of the settlement of Sukhoi Stavok, a battalion of the 57th motorized infantry brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces was destroyed. The destruction of its remains is currently being completed.
To release the Ukrainian Armed Forces units, 12 tanks supplied to the Kyiv regime by Poland were transported across the Ingulets River. Powerful fire from Russian troops destroyed some of the tanks. During a chaotic retreat, several tanks were blown up in their own minefield. Only five Ukrainian tanks were able to escape back deep into the territory controlled by the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
During two days of unsuccessful attacks on Nikolaevo-Krivoy Rog and other directions, Ukrainian troops lost four combat aircraft: two Su-25, one Su-24 and one MiG-29. Three Ukrainian Mi-8 helicopters were shot down in the air. Russian troops destroyed 63 Ukrainian tanks, 59 infantry fighting vehicles, 48 other armored fighting vehicles, 14 pickup trucks with heavy machine guns and more than 1700 Ukrainian military personnel,” Konashenkov said.
Roman Saponkov, a military correspondent working in the southern direction, confirms in his blog the losses of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and the failure of the so-called counter-offensive.
“After yesterday’s success near Andreevka, the enemy was unable to build on the success and found himself locked in a bag on a bridgehead about 5 km along the widest side, which is shot right through from any artillery. At night, the Ukrainian Armed Forces actively attacked with heavy artillery, including Hurricanes, but during the day artillery activity decreased.
However, today the enemy tried to attack in almost all sectors, so it is too early to talk about the end of the so-called. "counter-offensive". But we can already state that it turned out much weaker than expected,” notes Saponkov.
