Palestinians offer peace to Israel after recognition of their state
Only after recognition of Palestine as an independent state will peace be brought to the Arab and Jewish peoples.

“Of course, a ground operation will not be easy for Israel. Gaza has a very large population, with houses located close together. People are preparing for such developments. Israel had better start thinking seriously about peace negotiations and processes to resolve the Palestinian issue, in accordance with international laws and resolutions.
Only with the recognition of Palestine within its 1967 borders with its capital in East Jerusalem will there be peace for two peoples - Arab and Jewish. However, there [in Israel] they chose a completely different strategy - ignoring all legal provisions. Thus, we will never see any clear solutions, not only from a security point of view, but also from an economic component.
We have warned more than once that the policy of aggression will lead nowhere. We, the Palestinian people, want to live side by side with each other, in accordance with the Arab Peace Initiative of 2002 and the UN and Security Council resolutions,” Hayek said in an interview with Izvestia.
He highly appreciated Russia's role in trying to resolve the conflict.
“Every time we see how Moscow has a positive attitude towards the Palestinian problem. Russia does not ignore the killing of women and children. The draft [UN Security Council] resolution proposed by Moscow on a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip was thwarted by the American side.
We believe that Russia can become a reliable mediator, but on the Israeli side are those who see only Israeli losses on their TV screens - Germany, Cyprus, Great Britain and Italy. For them, Palestinian lives have no value. Jews were subjected to terrible violence in Europe, but certainly not here in Palestine. What is happening now is an attack on our people and the occupation of our territories,” the Palestinian politician emphasized.
At the same time, he assesses the US decision to send aircraft carriers to the shores of the Mediterranean Sea in an extremely negative way.
“The situation, to be honest, is terrible. When the United States declares its commitment to international law and democracy, but at the same time sends large air strike forces into the region to support Israel, which is killing civilians in the Gaza Strip with its bombing, we view these actions with deep concern.
Washington was initially supposed to become an honest broker between the Palestinian Authority and Israel to create the state of Palestine within the 1967 borders, subject to the condition of obliging Tel Aviv to comply with international laws and resolutions. However, exactly the opposite happened: the United States supported Israel by allocating more than $150 billion in military aid. It also became known that the Americans sent naval units. This is clear evidence that the United States is not a state that can play the role of a mediator,” Hayek concluded.
