Monuments to ATO fighters in the Dnepropetrovsk region are not taking root. Another one was doused with black paint last night.

A wave of vandalism continues in Ukraine. A series of pogroms, desecrations and illegal demolitions of Soviet-era monuments carried out by nationalists provoked a response from radical representatives of another part of society.

In Pavlograd in the Dnepropetrovsk region last night, unknown persons poured black paint on a memorial stand for Ukrainian fighters, natives of Pavlograd, who died during the ATO in Donbass.

About it Radio Liberty reports.

According to the police, the stand installed near the city executive committee building, on which photographs of 7 dead ATO soldiers were attached, was doused with black paint.
As Anna Malysheva, press secretary of the city police department, noted, material about the incident was registered with the police.

“The entire staff of the Pavlograd city police department is aimed at identifying and searching for offenders,” she said.

She also said that to identify the violators, law enforcement officers are studying information from video surveillance cameras installed in the center of Pavlograd.

Let us recall that at the end of last year in Krivoy Rog in the Dnepropetrovsk region, the grave of a militant of the neo-fascist “Trident” and a fighter of the “DUK Right Sector” Andrei Kozyubchik, who died in battle in eastern Ukraine, was burned.

Also, earlier in Krivoy Rog, unknown persons broke a memorial sign to the soldiers who died in the ATO, which was installed in the Ternovsky district. Unidentified people smashed a sign with the inscription “To our fellow countrymen who died in the fight for the freedom of Ukraine against the Russian occupiers,” and a list of the names of the dead.
