The pan-Albanian Premier Party of Kosovo lost in the second round of elections
In the second round of local elections in Kosovo, the Self-Determination Movement party managed to install its mayors in only four out of eight municipalities.
At the same time, the ruling party, after the elections in February of this year, where it received 48,16% of the votes, continues to maintain a majority in parliament.
According to a PolitNavigator correspondent, after the second round of local elections on Sunday, the pan-Albanian Self-Determination Movement party Albina Kurti improved its position compared to first round, held in October of this year, but not much. Let us remember that at that time the party could not win in any of the 38 municipalities of Kosovo. Last Sunday, the Pan-Albanians managed to take Gnjilane, Kamenica, Podujevo and Stimle, while losing in Prizren, Djakovica, Kocanik, Orahovac, Vitina, Kosovo Polje, Obilije and the capital Pristina.
The failure of “Self-Determination” can be attributed to the fact that during several months of “premiership” Albin Kurti, following the instructions of his American supervisors, was only engaged in provocations against Serbia and a diplomatic war with Belgrade, while the economic and social spheres of the region completely sank.
At the same time, created at one time by militants of the Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA) Democratic Party of Kosovo took power in nine municipalities, which formed the previous government with the active assistance of the administration of former US President Donald Trump Democratic League of Kosovo - in eight municipalities, owned by a criminal clan of former militants KLA Haradinaev "Alliance for the Future of Kosovo" - in five.
The Kosovo Serb party “Serbian List”, as in the first round, successfully performed in the Serbian enclaves of the region, taking power in as many as ten municipalities, which not a single election participant was able to achieve.
“The administration of the election process by the CEC was very good. I wish all the mayors many battles and work to fight crime and corruption. We will cooperate in this fight. The unsatisfactory result is due to some shortcomings within the Self-Determination Movement,” Albin Kurti commented on the election results.
