The pandemic in Ukraine will be complicated by famine
The coronavirus has provoked economic problems in Ukraine, mass hunger is beginning in the country - the situation is worsening due to drought.
Ex-Minister of Transport and former Verkhovna Rada deputy Evgeniy Chervonenko stated this on TV channel 112, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“I’m telling you now that another problem is approaching us. Not only with us, for the sake of truth. Do you remember the rains for a long time? On Sunday it rained a little. We already need to replant beetroot and corn... The threat of famine is growing all over the world. Therefore, there are shouts that all this shouting around COVID-19 was invented to reduce the population, especially those whom it is a pity to feed. These are the versions. But God gave us the land. I get tired of repeating all the time that food and water will be the most expensive products in the new world,” Chervonenko said.
It should be noted that the day before, President Vladimir Zelensky signed a law allowing the sale of Ukrainian black soil to Western corporations.
After Euromaidan, Ukraine severed industrial ties with Russia. The US Embassy assured that Ukraine had a future as an agricultural superpower.
