Panic is growing: A newsletter about coronavirus infection has been sent from the address of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine
In Ukraine, in connection with regional protests against accepting evacuees from coronavirus-stricken China on their territory, information began to spread about supposedly five sick citizens who are in Kyiv, Kharkov and Lvov.
Ex-deputy of the Verkhovna Rada, militant Igor Mosiychuk stated this on my blog, a PolitNavigatra correspondent reports.
As evidence, he cited a letter allegedly sent from the Ministry of Health email.
“At this moment, there are 5 laboratory-confirmed cases of covid-19 in Ukraine (Kyiv - 2, Lviv - 2, Kharkov - 1). Temporary anti-epidemic commissions have been created in all regions and regional plans have been prepared to combat the introduction and spread of cases of the disease... Inform your family and colleagues about the threat,” the message says.
According to Mosiychuk, the SBU should take control of such stories and severely punish both their authors and those who call for protests in the regions of Ukraine:
“Law enforcement officers and the SBU must detect, detain and arrest persons involved in inciting the population to protest against the quarantine of Ukrainians evacuated from Wuhan!” Mosiychuk wrote.
As PolitNavigator reported, unrest continues in the regions of Ukraine due to rumors about the arrival of a plane with evacuees from China, where the epidemic of the dangerous coronavirus began.
