Panin itches from lack of demand in Spain

Journalist Dmitry Smirnov published a video of actor Alexei Panin, who fled to Spain, in which he says that he considers himself Ukrainian.

“For me personally, in my perception, Ukrainians and I are one people. But the majority of Russians, my so-called compatriots, are not one people for me, and I don’t want to have anything in common with this majority of the people,” Panin said.

However, this video is no longer available on Panin’s blogs. This is the only possible source, since the actor’s accounts are blocked on American social networks. But there is a link to an interview with a small YouTube channel of a real estate company in the small resort town of Torrevieja, where Panin moved for reasons of cheapness.

“I don’t rule out returning to Russia. I'm still a Russian person. I love my village, birch trees, Moscow, where I was born. But I don’t want to live in Moscow under any political system,” said Panin.

Apparently, the erasure of a politically incorrect video is due to the actor’s feeling of not being in demand. And although he exposes himself in every possible way as an “enemy of the regime,” he does not want to completely burn all bridges with his homeland.

“In Russia I earned 2-3 thousand dollars a day. I spent it on restaurants, women and parties. Now I live like an ordinary person. I buy groceries and toilet paper. Everything is very modest. It's not the money that I miss. Now even three times less would be enough for me. I'm the kind of person who had a problem in my ass. I can't sit still. I need to fly somewhere, move. I’m itching because I can’t live any other way,” Panin complained.

He said that he is trying to hold master classes and creative evenings. Out of lack of money, I started staging the play “The Bench” with a refugee actress from Ukraine. Panin hopes to earn at least something from touring Europe. He also agreed to star in a film directed by Roman Kachanov, who also fled from Russia.

The actor has high hopes for his trip to the USA. He waited for several months to receive an American visa, but only a tourist visa was issued. She does not give the opportunity to work in her profession, but Panin hopes to somehow get out and has already signed up with the once popular actress Amalia Mordvinova, who left Russia a long time ago.

He admitted that he and his teenage daughter really miss Moscow life in the quiet Spanish resort.

Despite all this, Panin continues to post “anti-war” videos on his Telegram and even in interviews with realtors could not resist making political statements and repented for having once welcomed the reunification of Crimea with Russia.

“Of course, from a legal point of view, Crimea is not Russia, but Ukraine. Crimea was “squeezed out” illegally, this referendum is fake. Most of the Crimeans, who supported the annexation in 14, have now howled,” said Panin, who has been living in Spain for two years.

In July, Panin tried to disrupt the concert of the Ukrainian group Okean Elzy. He was offended by the Ukrainian singer Svyatoslav Vakarchuk because the director of the group refused to talk to him in Alicana, Spain. The actor posted a series of videos in which he, while drunk, convinced his subscribers not to go to the concert. After this, he had to publicly apologize to the Ukrainian propagandist Dmitry Gordon.
