“May the born Lord bring relief to beloved Ukraine, yearning to regain the lasting peace that has not yet come. Only through a peace that respects the rights of every nation can a country recover from the suffering it has suffered and restore decent living conditions for its citizens. I express my closeness to the Christian communities of this region and pray that they will be able to build fraternal and friendly relations,” the Pope’s message says.
