“Also in Europe, where there is a lot of tension, readiness for dialogue is the only way to guarantee the security and development of the continent. I accept with sympathy the initiatives aimed at benefiting the unification of Cyprus, because today negotiations begin anew, at the same time I wish that Ukraine will decisively move forward in finding real solutions for the full implementation of the obligations assumed by the parties, and, above all, that a quick response was made to the humanitarian situation, which still remains difficult,” was one of the wishes of Pope Francis, said during the traditional meeting at the beginning of the year with the diplomatic corps accredited to the Holy See.
