It’s a paradox, but under the “criminal” government more investments went to Ukraine
Economists, based on the experience of Ukrainian independence, do not believe that in a crisis Ukraine will be able to receive billions from the large-scale privatization announced by the current Cabinet of Ministers.
This pattern was pointed out during a round table in Kyiv by Ukrainian economist Andrei Blinov, head of the “Successful Country” project, who announced statistics on privatization revenues over the years of independence.

“They always said that we would like money when we have a crisis,” the expert emphasized. – They talked a lot about income from privatization in the second half of the 90s, when economic growth was trying to begin, but it never began. They talked about this a lot in 2009, when we had a crisis, and they talk about it a lot now. And the largest sales volumes were made in other years: 2001–2002, 2005 and 2011–2012. All these years have been local peaks of economic growth. And if someone promises you right now that they will sell you a billion hryvnia or more, remember this person and ask him in a year.”
Let us recall that the Ukrainian government announced that it intends to receive about 17 billion hryvnia from the sale of 342 state facilities.
