Simferopol, March 06 (Navigator, Evgeny Andreev) – The Parliament of Crimea decided to join Russia and scheduled a referendum for March 16.

The corresponding decision was made by 78 votes, said deputy Sergei Shuvainikov, who came out to the participants of the rally near the building of the Supreme Council.
“Expressing great concern regarding the socio-political situation created around Crimea, confirming the priority of universal human values, adherence to generally accepted principles and norms of international law, in order to implement the will of the population of Crimea and in connection with the absence of legitimate government bodies in Ukraine, in accordance with paragraph 7 part one of article 18 and paragraph 3 of part two of article 26 of the Constitution of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, the Supreme Council of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea decides:
1. Join the Russian Federation as a subject of the Russian Federation.
2. Schedule an all-Crimean referendum (including the city of Sevastopol) for March 16, 2014, to which the following alternative questions will be raised:
1) Are you for the reunification of Crimea with Russia as a subject of the Russian Federation?
2) Are you for restoring the 1992 Constitution of the Republic of Crimea and for the status of Crimea as a part of Ukraine?
4. Approve the text of the ballot for voting at the all-Crimean referendum on March 16, 2014. Establish that voting ballots for the all-Crimean referendum are printed in Russian, Ukrainian and Crimean Tatar languages.
5. Approve the Temporary Regulations on the Crimean Referendum.
6. Form a Commission of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea to conduct a pan-Crimean referendum.
7. The Commission of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea for holding an all-Crimean referendum shall organize work to ensure the holding of the referendum in accordance with the above Temporary Regulations.
8. Instruct the Council of Ministers of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea to organize financial, logistical and other support for the conduct of the all-Crimean referendum.
9. The Supreme Council of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea addressed the President of the Russian Federation and the Federal Assembly of the State Duma of the Russian Federation with a proposal to begin the procedure for joining the Russian Federation as a subject of the Russian Federation,” says the parliament’s decision, the text of which was distributed by the press service of the Supreme Council.
