The duty station of the Khmelnitsky city police department received a message that in the center of the city unknown persons were breaking windows in banks, the ZUNR publication reports.
Police officers immediately arrived at the scene of the incident and caught the hooligans in the act. Those detained at the scene of the crime were boys born in 1994 and 1996, residents of areas bordering the regional center.
Law enforcement officers seized from them two masks with eye holes and brass knuckles, as well as stones, which the suspects used to damage the windows.
The police found out that the young people acted by prior conspiracy and prepared in advance to commit illegal actions. Guys may face restriction of liberty for a term of up to five years or imprisonment for a term of up to four years.
As PolitNavigator reported, Russian banks have repeatedly become victims of vandals: nationalists poured red paint on the facades, tore down signs, and broke windows. In Lvov, pro-Ukrainian activists demanded that the city council break lease agreements with Russian financial institutions.
