The parties of Poroshenko and Zelensky sang in Crimea
Ukraine is not going to recognize the elections to the State Council of Crimea, which will be held next Sunday.
This was stated during the plenary meeting of the Verkhovna Rada by the vice-speaker of the parliament of the previous convocation, deputy from the European Solidarity party Irina Gerashchenko, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“There is one topic that unites all parts of this room - the return of Crimea and Donbass, and there cannot be two positions here. On September 8, the occupiers hold illegal local elections in Crimea. From European Solidarity, and from the entire parliament, we can declare that Ukraine will never recognize the results of these elections, and we demand that the Russian Federation immediately return Crimea and Donbass, and we will fight for de-occupation.
But in order to return Donbass and Crimea as quickly as possible, we need unity within the country and two components – a strong economy and strong democracy,” Gerashchenko said.
