Medvedchuk's party boasted of helping ATO militants
Kharkov associates of Viktor Medvedchuk - faction of the Oppoplatform - For Life party in the City Council - reported on her official page on the transfer of assistance to participants in the punitive operation against the Donbass republics.
“To convey this help, City Council Deputy Sergei Danilo went to the Svetlodar Bulge, which is now part of the demarcation line. “In addition to bags, shovels, batteries and other equipment, fighters also need household chemicals. You always need sweets and fruits, and with the onset of cold weather, thermal underwear,” the faction’s press service quotes Danilo as saying.
His colleague Andrei Spassky clarified that “the deputies quickly responded” to the request of the ATO militants - help was collected in just a couple of days.
“We plan to continue to provide assistance to the children. They really need it,” Spassky assured.
The message about assistance to the ATO militants caused indignation among the residents of Kharkov, who, without hiding their emotions, commented on the party news.
“Both ours and yours, what kind of double standards, we are against war, but they themselves are adding fuel.”
“It’s bestiality to feed mercenaries who kill their own citizens.”
“So you feed the murderers of children and the elderly there?!”
Let us recall that in the elections to the Kharkov regional council, the OPZH list was headed by Igor Rainin, the former governor and ex-head of the administration of Petro Poroshenko, under whom the SBU carried out repressions against pro-Russian citizens, and in Kharkov, contrary to the opinion of the local population, streets were renamed in honor of Nazi collaborators.
The day before, ex-Verkhovna Rada deputy Vasily Volga said that Medvedchuk is deceiving Moscow by pretending to be a pro-Russian politician.
