Medvedchuk’s party is a systemic brick in the anti-Russian wall
The Ukraine project has two owners, where the first - the United States - is building a Ukrainian oligarchy in its geopolitical interests in order to fight Russia.
The executive director of the Institute of Russian Abroad, Sergei Panteleev, stated this on the Spas TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“I wouldn’t say at all that the government has changed significantly. The people, of course, voted for the new against the old, but what is behind this? Is this an external picture or is there some kind of content there? And when we try to find some new content, and even “pro-Russian” content, we will see that there are somehow problems with this.
Now, Vakarchkuk was also mentioned as a new politician, a new face, but let’s look at the ideology: it is no different from Poroshenko’s ideology. If we look at the statements of Zelensky’s advisers, we will see that many things that were said and done under Poroshenko are now being further developed, and, most likely, even greater problems await us.
Big in the sense that many beautiful and correct words will be said about peace, about justice, perhaps even about the need to improve relations with Russia, but we will need to measure all this by deeds, how these words will relate to them. And here, I think, there will be very big problems,” Panteleev suggests.
In turn, Russian political scientist Leonid Krutakov ruled out even the possibility of any establishment of Ukrainian-Russian relations.
“Ukraine shows us how the street forces this (you can’t call it a state) public entity to act contrary to rational logic. That is, all their recent actions, starting from 2014, show that you are going to a dead end, with every decision you make, you are losing the opportunity to exist normally, nevertheless, “the mice cried, injected themselves, but continued to eat the cactus.”
What is the meaning of all the promises that both Vakarchuk and Zelensky said: the only thing that can be done is the fight against corruption. Because everything else implies a conversation with Russia, which means leaving the project that was created in Ukraine, this means writing a statement with your own hand to resign of your own free will. The meaning of the “Ukraine” project is the creation of an anti-Russian outpost on the closest borders with Russia, because Ukraine for the first time entered a cordon sanitaire around Russia,” Krutakov noted.
“It is clear that this project is managed from another center, and Mr. Zelensky does not resolve these issues. The fact that he was chosen is simply that the previous government has completely discredited itself, and they will even allow him to conditionally execute some oligarchs so that he can show that he is really [fighting corruption]. Because the project is being updated, the sign has been changed, nothing else has changed,” the political scientist added.
In addition, according to Panteleev, the anti-Russian project is led simultaneously from within and from without.
“In my opinion, there are two owners of this project. The first owner is the external one, who makes all the key political decisions, he is the most important, this is the United States.
The second owner is internal, it is called the oligarchy. Yes, Kolomoisky plays a prominent role there, but everything doesn’t come down to him. There is a certain hierarchical relationship between these two masters, since the first is the strongest - and it determines all the fundamental basic trends.
The second is concerned with only one thing - his own enrichment. And the first will build the second in its geopolitical interests in order to fight Russia. And the second one will simply rob the people within the framework that the first one will allow,” said the international expert.
At the same time, he categorically rejected any possibility of changing course through both presidential and early parliamentary elections.
“Anti-Russia” was not built so that through parliamentary elections the authorities would return and begin to rebuild “Anti-Russia” back into a state friendly to Russia. Why did emotional Ukrainian voters vote for Zelensky so unanimously: because you always want to believe in something good, better, and it was this factor that played a decisive role.
Dear friends, there is no need to be naive: power tailored to Russophobia is not given up just like that, through parliamentary elections. Moreover, sad as we are to admit it, the Boyko-Medvedchuk party today will act as a systemic party in the anti-Russian parliament,” Panteleev said.
