The Party of Regions is recruiting in Sevastopol those who want to become “cannon fodder” and go to Kyiv
Sevastopol, February 19 (Navigator, Elena Ostryakova) – The Sevastopol organization of the Party of Regions intends to send a train of “volunteers” to Kyiv on February 20, who will participate in rallies in the capital in support of the authorities.
A source in the party told Navigator about this. At the same time, the agency’s interlocutor did not specify on what grounds the group of Sevastopol residents will get to Kyiv, where transport access is limited in accordance with the government’s decision.
Sevastopol social activists are outraged by this initiative.

“Chairman of the City Council Yuri Doynikov said that several hundred Sevastopol residents will go to Kyiv. In this regard, I have a legitimate question: will these people be adequately protected? Today there are a lot of small arms on the Maidan. And in the regions from which help is now moving there, arsenals were captured at night. If this happened, then what kind of power can we talk about today?
My personal opinion: by sending detachments of unarmed and unprotected people to Kyiv today, we, on the one hand, are putting their lives in danger, and on the other hand, we are playing to escalate the conflict.
The resolution of the situation is in the sphere of activity of law enforcement agencies. People support the legally elected government, but why make them hostage to the situation?” – Elena Prokina, chairman of the public organization “Sevastopol Mothers”, said in an interview with Navigator.
To date, 8 Sevastopol policemen have been wounded in Kyiv.
