Tymoshenko's party to Donbass: Repent, we will make you second-class citizens!
Yulia Tymoshenko’s party is preparing a draft law “On Forgiveness” for residents of Donbass who massively supported the Russian Spring in 2014. Kyiv will invite the population of Donetsk and Lugansk to repent, after which the local population will be deprived of their civil rights for their sins against Ukraine.
Former Verkhovna Rada deputy from Batkivshchyna Andriy Senchenko stated this on the UkrLife channel, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“We are now preparing a draft law on forgiveness. This is not the same as an amnesty - to some extent we use the Croatian experience, there was a forgiveness procedure after the Balkan war.
What is the idea of forgiveness - is that a citizen who has this sin comes to the Ukrainian court and writes a statement about the crime he committed. At the same time, he fills out a petition for forgiveness addressed to the Ukrainian state.
The court, based on criteria clearly established in the law, reviews these documents and makes a decision on forgiveness on behalf of the state of Ukraine, by a court decision...
These people are deprived of the right to civil service, to military service, to work in law enforcement agencies, to work in the judicial system and in local governments for 10 years. These people are deprived of the right to teach for the same period. And the impossibility of participating in elections in any form for ten years - to elect, to be elected and to participate in any form in the organization and conduct of elections,” Senchenko listed.
Larisa Shesler, coordinator of the Union of Political Emigrants, expressed outrage at Senchenko’s words.
“Does anyone really think that after such generous promises, someone in the Donbass in their right mind will come to terms with future humiliation and lack of rights? But this is a very soft scenario for the possible return of Donbass, without massacres and expulsion of the Russians. All residents of Donetsk and Lugansk, Gorlovka and Debaltsevo dream that those who killed their children will become the arbiters of their destinies,” comments Shesler.
