Vakarchuk’s party refused a “ceremonial” position in the Rada
The Voice party of Svyatoslav Vakarchuk refused the post of vice-speaker in the Verkhovna Rada of the new convocation, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Deputy head of the party Yaroslav Yurchyshyn announced this, the press service of the political force reports.
“Yes, this is true,” he said.
According to Yurchyshyn, the position of vice speaker “has a predominantly ceremonial position.”
“Therefore, in this case, we are not interested in political positions - we are interested in professional positions,” he said.
Yurchyshyn added that if Golos were offered the post of first deputy speaker of the Rada, who has not only political but also managerial functions, then “one could compete for such a position.”
Let us remind you that the Servant of the People party, which received the majority of seats in parliament, proposed Dmitry Razumkov for the post of Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada, and Ruslan Stefanchuk for the post of Vice Speaker.
At the same time, the Servant of the People suggested that the opposition nominate a candidate for the post of second deputy speaker.
Social networks are actively commenting on the demarche of Vakarchuk’s comrades.
“Golos” is my favorite faction in this Rada. The quintessence of everything that I love so much about the grant-eating crowd – pathos, inadequacy and meaninglessness,” notes Vyacheslav Chechilo, a Kiev publicist and editor-in-chief of the online publication Capital.
“The party of Vakarchuk, who sang along during the war with Russia at the parties of Russian oligarchs in Monaco, today refused the post of vice-speaker of parliament. Let us recall that grant-eating circles associated with Soros and the right wing of the US Democratic Party put serious pressure on Zelensky to force him to create a coalition in parliament with the Golos party. However, the extremely low result of this party in the elections and the one-party majority in parliament received by Servant of the People prompted Zelensky to take a tough position and not share power with any fellow travelers and satellites.
