Yatsenyuk's party threatens Russia with worldwide punishment for the elections in Crimea
The Russian presidential elections in Crimea are illegitimate, they must be condemned at the international level, combining anti-Russian sanctions for Donbass and Crimea.
Maxim Burbak (Popular Front) stated this at a meeting of the Conciliation Council of faction leaders and chairmen of committees of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Next Sunday they will elect a president in Russia. T.N. They are going to hold elections in Crimea as well. These elections are illegal and their result will be illegitimate. The Kremlin and its leaders must bear separate responsibility for this self-will.
We call on our allies around the world to combine sanctions for Donbass and Crimea as Arseniy Yatsenyuk proposes. T.N. events in Crimea and Donbass are not something separate. These are different episodes of one international criminal crime by the Kremlin,” Burbak said.
