Zelensky's party is mired in splits
The results of the latest votes in the Verkhovna Rada showed that there is no unanimity in the Servant of the People presidential faction.
Political scientist Konstantin Matvienko stated this on air on the Pryamoy TV channel, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Matvienko, the deputies who were oriented toward the oligarch Igor Kolomoisky “kicked up.”
“Zelensky is already becoming deeply dependent on Kolomoisky. We saw this in the voting in the Verkhovna Rada of those bills, presidential bills, which were extremely necessary for him from the point of view of his logic of creating both a fiscal and security system, and, let’s say frankly, control over economic and social communities in Ukraine, including the deputy community .
That is, Kolomoisky has already shown the president how he can influence parliament, and by influencing parliament, he will influence the government, and, unfortunately, will limit the president’s capabilities,” Matvienko said.
Matvienko’s position on the Internet channel InterVizor was supported by composer Vladimir Bystryakov, who foreshadows an imminent split in the presidential party.
“Now there is a topic of disengagement within the Servant of the People. Majoritarians will sooner or later raise a fuss, because they are interested in this whole business, how it all results in addition to salaries, in what dividends. Moreover, there were rumors that someone offered them a one-time “lemon” and a stipend of 40 thousand a month for poverty. So what will they think now?
I think that the majority leader of “Servant of the People” will now play a big role in changing the balance in the Supreme Council... They recruited a variety of people, they will have a variety of songs there and it is unlikely that they will have a cell named after the CPSU. This will most likely be a split, a divergence along the lines of who will be closer to which faction,” predicts Bystryakov.
