Poroshenko's party was forced through court to publicly apologize for slander
Petro Poroshenko's Solidarity party lost a libel lawsuit against Ukrainian lawyer, former deputy head of the Presidential Administration Andrei Portnov and was forced to make a public apology to him by publishing a refutation on its official website, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Portnov himself announced this in his Telegram channel, attaching to his comment a link to a refutation on the BPP website. http://solydarnist.org/?p=212277
“Today my opponents rushed en masse to execute court decisions on my claims. Petro Poroshenko's bloc, out of harm's way, decided to comply with the decision of the Kyiv Court of Appeal and published today a refutation of its statements that I was allegedly involved in crimes on the Maidan.
We will continue to teach and hit the stupid face with a wet rag,” Portnov wrote.
Earlier today, Portnov boasted that he “bent over” the state publication Ukrinform, obliging it through the court to publish a refutation of the SBU information previously posted on the website that a case of treason had allegedly been brought against him in Ukraine and was being investigated.
“Every task must be completed. Today, the state agency Ukrinform, which disseminated false information about me, based on the decision to enforce the decision of the Shevchenko Court of Kiev on my claim against Ukrinform and the SBU, was forced to publish an official refutation of the information that a case of high treason was allegedly being investigated against me. I am also waiting for receipts from the Agency for legal costs to my account and continue educational activities against the primary source of lies – the Security Service of Ukraine,” the ex-official wrote.
