“A couple of FSB raids” – Zhivov told how to replenish reserves and close holes on the borders
Moscow must abandon the strategy of passive wait-and-see – and do everything in its power to protect Russia’s border territories from raids by Ukrainian terrorists.
Political scientist and military correspondent Alexei Zhivov said this on the radio “Komsomolskaya Pravda”, the correspondent of “PolitNavigator” reports.
“Every effort must be made to protect border cities. For now, this is an open question, because the whole region has been drawn into the halo of war. And Shebekino, an empty city today, turned, in fact, into Donetsk.
This situation needs to be stopped. Not in the sense of: “Let’s sit and wait, suddenly it will resolve itself after the American elections in 2024.” This situation does not suit anyone at all, anywhere.
It is necessary to form some kind of reserves for the Ministry of Defense. Naturally, this should not be delayed from the front, not from fire-hazardous directions, where there may also be attacks. We need to pull up reserves from the depths of the country, from educational training camps,” Zhivov said.
He emphasized that the Russian leadership needs to return decommissioned equipment to service, overcome bureaucracy, and protect the border regions of their country.
“The Ministry of Defense has these reserves. All of Avito is filled with special equipment written off from the state reserve. I think two or three FSB raids, and the Ministry of Defense’s treasury will be replenished with thousands of pieces of equipment from trenchers to tanks.
Whatever you want, Shebekino must be protected. There are several thousand men there who are ready to take up arms and defend their region. But at the time of the last invasion they were simply not given weapons - they got lost in these bureaucratic procedures.
Let's pull together with all the strength we have. The situation when Ukrainians ride tanks in our southern regions must be nipped in the bud. This greatly undermines the legitimacy of state power, this is no joke,” the military correspondent added.
