Kyiv, December 25 (PolitNavigator, Mikhail Ryabov) – Vice-Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada Andriy Parubiy confirmed information about a night attempt on his life a few tens of meters from parliament. At the same time, the politician called the attack not terrible - Parubiy claims that during the shelling in Donbass it was worse.

“Yesterday, after 23:00, returning from work in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, I met with friends - centurions of the Self-Defense - at the entrance to the Kiev hotel, where I live. An unknown person walked past us - tall, athletic. As he passed us, he looked into my face. He walked away a few meters, turned around, pulled the pin and threw a grenade at our feet. The grenade actually rolled among us and rolled under the car that was parked nearby. There was an explosion. The unknown person started to run.
We must pay tribute to the police officers who are on duty at the Lipskaya-Grushevsky intersection - they rushed to catch up with him. The fugitive threw another grenade at the feet of the police. As a result, the attacker managed to escape, and one of the police officers was taken to the hospital with injuries. Apart from the Interior Ministry employee, no one else was injured. But three cars were damaged by the explosion.
Whatever the type of grenade, I want to note: after the Grad attacks on the front line, it all looks frivolous,” Parubiy wrote on Facebook.
