Parubiy declared Ukraine the “leading edge” of the fight between “Western good” and “Russian evil”
The conflict in Donbass is “a confrontation between two worlds, democratic and totalitarian.”
This opinion was expressed by Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Andriy Parubiy at the opening of the XNUMXnd Interparliamentary Conference “Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine: strengthening the interparliamentary component of regional and security cooperation and developing interaction with the EU and NATO,” a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“When we talk about security in today's world, we are talking about a broader dimension than military security. In fact, this is a global confrontation. Events in eastern Ukraine, Georgia and Moldova are not just a confrontation between these countries and Russia. This is a watershed between two worlds: the world of democracy, dignity and freedom and the world of authoritarianism and totalitarianism, which is Putin’s Russia today,” he said.
