Parubiy turned out to be of no use to anyone
The new president of Ukraine does not care about etiquette and respectability, because he wants to impress the people as an innovator who are tired of old politicians.
Kiev political scientist Sergei Belashko stated this on the NASH TV channel, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The previous portrait of [Poroshenko] in public tried to be respectable, even drunk as a smoke, tried to pose as something between Napoleon, Charles XII and Guderian.
Society is quite ready for such a president, people elected him because they were tired of portraits, tired of these people who had only lied and stolen all their lives. They want something fundamentally new, and Zelensky demonstrates this fundamental novelty to them. That’s why he wears a shirt with rolled up sleeves, that’s why he speaks emphatically in Russian, although he understands perfectly well that tomorrow they will howl: “How is this possible, he knows the Ukrainian language worse than a Turk,” noted Belashko.
However, in his opinion, there will be no serious changes in the Ukrainian elite - everything will end with a small reshuffle of personnel, and even then not everywhere.
“Avakov is playing his game, and as I understand it, everything is fine and agreed with Zelensky, and it is quite possible that he will remain in the government as a non-party technocrat. Turchynov will most likely be with Poroshenko. Yatsenyuk, of course, is with Groysman. Parubiy and Pashinsky remain, but these characters are so odious that it is unlikely that anyone will want to take them into their team,” the expert concluded.
