Parubiy on paper praised the British prime minister for supporting Ukraine
During a visit to France and Britain, the speaker of the Ukrainian parliament Andriy Parubiy “received a strong signal for Ukraine,” however, only from the British side.
He announced this at a meeting of the Conciliation Council of faction leaders and chairmen of committees of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“I would like to inform you that last week I was on an official visit to both France and the UK. I raised the issue of Nord Stream 2 and I must say that in the UK, I hope there will soon be a public position on Nord Stream 2. She is very important to us. Especially on the eve of the definition of Denmark. I want to assure you that at all meetings I raised the issue of Nord Stream 2 not only for Ukraine, but for the entire Euro-Atlantic space. And I hope that these meetings will yield results in the official position of Great Britain. Likewise, during my stay in parliament, British Prime Minister Theresa May (at the same time Parubiy looked at the cheat sheet to clarify the name of the British prime minister - editor's note) stated that sanctions against Russia should not only be maintained, but also expanded. This is also a very important and strong signal for Ukraine,” he said.
Thank you!
