“On February 8, 1994, Ukraine signed the framework document of the NATO Partnership for Peace program. From that day, Ukraine's path to NATO began.
This document states: “This partnership begins as an expression of the shared conviction that stability and security in the Euro-Atlantic region can only be achieved through cooperation and joint action.”
This was the first step on the path to NATO and, colleagues, in this parliament we voted for Ukraine’s early entry into NATO. This is a guarantee of our security, especially while repelling Russian aggression, and I am convinced that Ukraine will be in NATO, and we will complete this path together,” Parubiy said.
