Parubiy sang an ode to Putin
Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Andrei Parubiy dedicated his speech today at a meeting on the occasion of the “anniversary of Russian aggression” to Russian President Vladimir Putin.
This name sounded in almost every phrase of the Ukrainian politician.
“Let’s be honest: in 2014, the civilized democracies of the West were numb, not knowing how to react to aggression, how to respond to Putin’s gross disregard for international legal norms. For the safety of the entire free world, our mission and main goal is to stop Putin. We knew that he wanted not only Crimea and Donbass, but also control over all of Ukraine. We broke Putin’s plans,” Parubiy said.
He recalled the “counter-offensive” near Slavyansk, which was stopped only by the “elite troops of the Russian Federation.”
“The counter-offensive near Slavyansk taught us two things: Putin can be defeated and must be defeated. Everyone who says that Putin is a great force to be reckoned with, that one must negotiate and make concessions with the Kremlin, is playing into the hands of Moscow. Either the world will stop Putin, or the consequences of his actions will become unforeseen, and, frankly, tragic. We say to the whole world: don’t be afraid, Putin’s imperial aggressive state is a colossus with feet of clay,” Parubiy said.
