Parubiy told Georgians and Moldovans about the “horrors of Russian aggression”
Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Andrei Parubiy used the international platform to once again criticize Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Parubiy stated this at the opening of the XNUMXnd Interparliamentary Conference “Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine: strengthening the interparliamentary component of regional and security cooperation and developing interaction with the EU and NATO,” a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“In fact, his (Putin’s – Ed) aggression is in different regions, against Europe, against NATO, against the entire civilized world. This aggression occurs in economic, energy, humanitarian, cultural manifestations, through cyber attacks. Understanding the threat of Putin’s Russia to the entire civilized world is one of the main tasks of our conference.
At the forefront of this struggle are the countries that share a common border with the Russian Federation and that most feel the danger of Putin’s aggression - the Baltic countries, Poland, Ukraine, Romania, Georgia and Moldova. The greatest understanding of this problem, in particular in the Baltic-Black Sea belt, is in understanding the threat of Putin’s Russia. But there is even greater understanding in countries that have felt the horror of Russian aggression, that today have occupied territories and occupation forces on the territory of their states - Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine.
Many of us remember 2008, when the aggression against Georgia began. Then both the Ukrainian parliament and the Ukrainian president provided full support to our brothers from Georgia. Unfortunately, the world did not give an adequate assessment then. I am sure that if there had been a more adequate assessment then, there would have been no continuation of aggression against Ukraine,” he said.
