Parubiy said what Zelensky dreams of doing with Putin
Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky is aware of the catastrophic drop in his ratings, so all hope lies in secret agreements with Vladimir Putin to regain his former popularity amid the cessation of hostilities in the Donbass.
Ex-speaker of the Verkhovna Rada, deputy from European Solidarity Andrei Parubiy said this on Channel 5, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Parubiy complained that recently in Kyiv there have been massive trials of Maidan heroes like Petro Poroshenko, Tatyana Chernovol, ATO officers suspected of murdering Pavel Sheremet, etc.
At the same time, Parubiy himself admitted that these cases have no prospects - the Maidan activists know very well that none of them will be put behind bars.
“They are trying Ukrainian patriots, the Ukrainian opposition. What is the goal? None of these cases has any prospects, but it is a way to discredit Ukrainian politics. Has at least one criminal case been opened against Medvedchuk, Rabinovich, against Boyko, against pro-Russian politicians, against Shariy? Vice versa. These are invisible allies,” Parubiy was indignant.
He expressed confidence that in this way Vladimir Zelensky is trying to please Moscow and, first of all, Russian President Vladimir Putin, who can easily save falling rating his Ukrainian colleague.
“I think it’s both conscious and unconscious. Zelensky is a person who, first of all, does not understand Ukraine, to whom “what difference does it make?” A complete misunderstanding of what states are, what the purpose of this state is. And there are conscious agents around.
And, by and large, he has a “scoop” deep in his soul. Such a Soviet citizen - they come in both 80-year-olds and young ones. This is Zelensky.
He wants to please Putin - he has such a manic idea, since he is not capable of governing, he has an idea to achieve peace, to come out and say “Ukraine, I brought you peace.” And everyone will say: “You are a good president.” He sees how the ratings are falling.
“But this cannot be achieved without Putin. And all these eternal attempts of his to please Putin, to look into his eyes, to find some kind of peace there, lead to a conscious desire to destroy the Ukrainian camp, to destroy Ukrainian values, in order to please Putin and say: “How good I am, I will use all your wishes, give peace to me." But this is an illusion,” Parubiy concluded.
