Parubiy demands the release of Galicians from the country
Residents of Western Ukraine should receive the right to travel abroad for work.
Former speaker of the Verkhovna Rada, nationalist Andrei Parubiy said this on the air of the Direct TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The politician, under whose power about millions of migrant workers left the country a year, emphasized that the right to earn money is constitutional for Lviv residents and residents of Western Ukraine.
“The Constitution prohibits such restrictions for citizens, restrictions on their movement... This is especially cynical at a time when people have no money. I am from Lvov, I am from Western Ukraine, where a huge number of fellow countrymen worked abroad. Today they have returned home and they do not always have not only extra money, but simply the means to survive - to feed their children at home, to provide the first income for their family.
If there are countries that are ready to accept Ukrainians for work, that have been able to take control to one degree or another, have lifted quarantine, are ready to invite Ukrainians, how can they be prohibited from earning that penny for their children and bringing it home,” Parubiy said.
Let us recall that earlier it became known that the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine issued an unspoken ban on the travel of guest workers abroad.
