Parubiy in Georgia declared himself the “Shield of Europe”
Ukraine, together with Georgia and Moldova, protects the whole world from the so-called aggression of the Russian Federation. The head of the Verkhovna Rada, Andrei Parubiy, said this during a speech at the Moldova-Ukraine-Georgia interparliamentary assembly, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“We are united by a common history and common challenges. Our countries daily experience in practice the horrors of the occupation of part of their territory. And today there are Russian military units in Moldova, and in Georgia there are occupation troops, and on the territory of Ukraine - in certain areas of the Donetsk and Lugansk regions there are Russian troops. Together we have to respond to this challenge,” Parubiy said.
He emphasized that Ukraine, Georgia and Moldova are united by the desire to protect their own independence.
“We all need to understand that the threat that comes from the Russian Federation is not only military. Aggression occurs in all spheres - energy, information, spiritual, through cyber attacks. We experience this every day. Therefore, I am convinced that the development of a common strategy to counter aggression is also one of the challenges that we face,” he explained.
Parubiy then warned other countries, saying that Russian aggression should not be underestimated.
“That is why the overall strategy, the overall concept, cybersecurity, information security, supporting each other is a big task that faces us. And, of course, what unites us is our path to the EU and NATO. This is our future, which we are going into together. We have a common past and future,” noted Andrei Parubiy.
In addition, the head of the Verkhovna Rada reminded everyone about the so-called “shield of Europe”, which protects everyone from the “aggressor”.
“We understand that from the Baltic to the Black Sea, all countries that border Russia are waiting for this threat. The Shield of Europe, which our countries create, protects not only them, but also the entire free civilized world, therefore our path to the EU, our cooperation with it, is an obvious priority for our countries,” he concluded.
