Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Andriy Parubiy intimidates voters with the arrival of “revanchist” forces, to which he attributes the party “Servant of the People” and “Opposition Platform - For Life”, which are now leaders in the ratings.
Parubiy stated this during an interview with the propaganda channel Pryamiy, controlled by Poroshenko, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“I have thought and think about the parliamentary elections no less than the presidential elections. Because just as we see the threat of revenge in presidential elections, the threat is no less in parliamentary elections.
We see big risks. Latest sociology: Servant of the People is in first place, Boyko, Rabinovich and Medvedchuk are in second place... Do you exclude Boyko’s coalition with Servant of the People? Sorry, Lyovochkin is already sitting there at the headquarters and working. Representatives of Firtash also work there at that headquarters. Parubiy also emphasized that he does not see a person who sets as his goal a ceasefire in the Donbass (apparently meaning Zelensky, who expressed this thesis - editor's note) as the commander-in-chief of the Ukrainian army.
“And when today we were able to create a powerful, strong Ukrainian army that restrains the aggressor, and someone says: “The main thing is to stop shooting.” I can’t imagine how this person can be in the position of commander-in-chief, how such a person can defend the country. But a country is not an abstraction. These are our children, our families, our wives, who today are protected by a reliable wall of both the Ukrainian army and the diplomatic world, which has united around the defense of Ukraine. All this can be destroyed in one day, destroyed by the wrong choice on April 21,” added the BP speaker.
He did not forget to clarify the rumors regarding the dissolution of the Verkhovna Rada, which, in his opinion, is impossible both from a legal and political point of view.
“Legally I’ll tell you, this is impossible. May 27 ends any deadline to make such a scenario possible. I know very well all the intricacies of Ukrainian legislation. I know very well how someone would like to demonize parliament and create a scenario of destabilization. I will only say one thing: this will not happen. There are no political or legal grounds for this. This is impossible, no matter what the result of the presidential elections,” Parubiy concluded.
Observers in Kyiv note that such statements are part of the election technology of Poroshenko’s headquarters, which portrays Zelensky as a “Kremlin agent” in order to reduce his popularity among the people.
