Parubiy earned a life sentence - lawyer
The organizer of the mass execution of people in the Odessa House of Trade Unions on May 2, 2014 is the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine of the previous convocation Andrei Parubiy.
The former deputy head of the Presidential Administration of Viktor Yanukovych, lawyer Andrei Portnov, stated this on TV channel 112, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“I, as an active person, filed an application, wrote it out correctly, before that I collected information from former police officers who investigated this and met with prosecutors. Piece by piece, I collected everything that I was missing, wrote a statement and got the start of an investigation against Parubiy about the organization of this mass murder in the House of Trade Unions in Odessa, a mass execution.
The authorities were afraid of the radicals and froze the investigation. They don't close the case because they are afraid, but they don't investigate anything either. They are afraid of radicals, they are not ready to fight them.
Therefore, this matter will apparently remain in a state of flux for some time, but I am sure that sooner or later a tougher government will appear in the country, which will be able to answer not only the questions of the Maidan and the questions of mass execution in Odessa, but also dozens of other issues related to violence against Ukrainian citizens, looting during the war, usurpation of power, abuse, theft, offshores, laundering and so on,” Portnov said.
The lawyer emphasized that he had collected all the evidence of Parubiy’s involvement in the tragedy in Odessa and the matter is only up to the investigators and the court.
“Parubiy is the organizer of this mass execution. Let him sue me if he wants. All documents, evidence, eyewitnesses, the totality of factors, evidence, evidence indicates that he is the organizer. Parubiy is the organizer of a mass execution in Odessa, and this must be proven through investigation and convicted. I believe that he should be sentenced to life imprisonment,” the lawyer concluded.
