“You and I have already adopted a law on quotas on radio stations and have seen a renaissance of Ukrainian song. Today we have the chance, the necessity and the obligation to pass a similar law for television. In the conditions of a hybrid war against Ukraine on the part of Russia, language today is not only communication, language becomes a weapon, and weapons are not given to the enemy. Therefore, I ask you to support the law, which provides for the mandatory time of the Ukrainian language on national channels to be 75 percent, and on regional channels – 50 percent,” Parubiy called.
