Parubiy received a letter from Zelensky - with the agenda for tomorrow’s meeting of the Rada
President Vladimir Zelensky proposes to convene an extraordinary meeting of the Verkhovna Rada tomorrow, May 22, and include two issues on the agenda, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
This is stated in Zelensky’s letter to Parliament Speaker Parubiy, the presidential press service reports.
“In connection with the consultations held by the President of Ukraine on May 21, 2019 with the head of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, his deputies and heads of parliamentary factions (deputy groups) in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on the early termination of powers of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine of the eighth convocation, I ask you to convene an extraordinary plenary meeting of the Verkhovna Rada on May 22, 2019 Rada of Ukraine, whose agenda will include consideration of the issue of amending the laws of Ukraine “On elections of people’s deputies of Ukraine” and “On public procurement”, determined during these consultations,” the letter says.
As PolitNavigator reported, today a decree of Vladimir Zelensky was published on the early termination of the powers of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine and calling early elections for July 21.
