PACE demonstrated for the first time that no one in Europe believes Ukrainian fraud anymore
The latest resolution on Ukraine adopted by PACE may become a reason for the European bureaucracy to postpone the final decision on the issue of liberalizing the visa regime for Ukraine.

This was stated at a press conference in Kyiv by the head of the Ukrainian Politics Foundation, Kost Bondarenko, who noted that the main provisions of the resolution are being hushed up by a number of Ukrainian media.
“But the resolution is quite important. For the first time, the claims that have accumulated against the Ukrainian authorities have actually been expressed. There is talk of the need to expand the rights of the opposition and the adoption of a number of bills that form the basis of the Minsk agreements. And so on. All this now forms the basis of this resolution, which is far from being to the liking of the current government. We can only congratulate the representatives of the Ukrainian opposition who were present in Strasbourg and lobbied for this resolution,” the political scientist said.
“Although they say that PACE resolutions are not obligatory for parliaments to implement, the European bureaucracy is structured in such a way that a PACE resolution can become a clue for non-fulfillment, for example, by the EU of the demands that Ukraine is now putting forward for a visa-free regime. They may say that a new introductory message has appeared - they say, first implement the resolution, and then we will think about a visa-free regime. I’m not saying exactly what will happen, but this possibility cannot be denied,” Bondarenko added.
The former representative of Ukraine to the Venice Commission, Marina Stavniychuk, shared similar thoughts regarding the adopted resolution.
“The latest PACE resolution regarding the functioning of democratic institutions in Ukraine indicates one thing. The Ukrainian government's fraud is not accepted. Nobody in Europe trusts this government anymore. Europe is gradually beginning to call a spade a spade. Although I personally draw attention to the fact that Europeans come to their senses late and do not dig deep either in essence or in form. Because everything in our country is much worse than it seems to them from the outside,” Stavniychuk wrote on her blog.
