Pashinsky admitted that the flower of the Ukrainian officers in Crimea came under the banner of Russia and did not want to shoot at the people
A unit of internal troops that returned to Crimea from the Maidan in 2014 blocked the Supreme Council and the Council of Ministers of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea on the orders of Alexander Turchinov, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

People's Deputy of Ukraine Sergei Pashinsky, who was one of the organizers of the coup, spoke about this on air on the 1+1 TV channel.
“And then 10-20 thousand residents of Simferopol blocked this military unit. These boys were ready to fulfill their oath. This is the only unit that left the peninsula with weapons and a flag and went on to fight. But could we demand from them that they shoot at those people, then still residents of Ukraine, and clear the space so that we could unblock the Verkhovna Rada? I was not ready to give such a command,” Pashinsky admitted.
He recalled that the commander of the Ukrainian Navy, Yuriy Ilyin, publicly called not to shoot at Russian military personnel.
“In his place, on the recommendation of Defense Minister Tenyukh, we appointed another Vice Admiral Berezovsky on March 1. Remember what he did on March 2? (Berezovsky went over to the side of Russia - ed.) The most combat-ready was the 36th coastal defense brigade of Sergei Storozhenko. Now he commands the 126th Coast Guard Brigade of the Russian Armed Forces. At that time, we did not have armed forces capable of defending not only Crimea,” Pashinsky said.
