Pashinyan gathered for the NATO summit: the West is showered with compliments

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, who came to power as a result of the Maidan, is going to attend the NATO summit in Brussels. The Armenian newspaper “Zhamanak” reports this.

“On the one hand, high-level meetings are planned with the EU leadership, and on the other, Pashinyan will take part in the NATO summit. Information about these two most important visits complemented the favorable situation that has developed for Armenia in the western direction,” the newspaper writes.

It is reported that on June 21, the first meeting of the Armenia-European Union Partnership Council took place, after which the EU “through an official communication and at the level of High Representative Federica Mogherini expressed unconditional support for Armenia: both in the most important areas of carrying out internal reforms and in matters of foreign policy, including including in terms of resolving the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.”

“Zhamanak” considers the statement of the Speaker of the State Duma of the Russian Federation Vyacheslav Volodin that Azerbaijan takes a “correct and constructive position” on the Nagorno-Karabakh settlement as a reaction to these events.
