Pashinyan was given time to withdraw troops. After - resignation
Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan must complete the disengagement of troops in Nagorno-Karabakh and leave his post.
Russian political commentator Maxim Yusin stated this on the Internet channel “Capital”, reports PolitNavigator correspondent.
“We understand that Pashinyan now, his mission in any case, regardless of desire, reluctance, he now must be the person who will withdraw, withdraw, transfer these Armenian areas to Azerbaijan, from there the Armenians will somehow be evacuated, but that will end his mission. What's next? The fact is that there is a logic that this person should leave,” suggested TV presenter and political scientist Dmitry Dzhangirov.
Yusin agreed with him, but emphasized that Pashinyan should resign not right now, but after some time.
“Of course, it’s another matter that not right now, because if right now, then there are no guarantees that he will not be replaced by some crazy nationalists who decide to continue the war, which, firstly, will be suicide, because they will be defeated in this case, but it will be too dangerous, as seen from Moscow, for our peacekeepers.
That’s it, the war is over, and the fact that our people arrived there is a guarantee that the conflict should be frozen for some time. Therefore, on the one hand, Pashinyan must stay for some more time, on the other hand, he does not have the moral right to stay for a long time. The more all the details of these 44 days [of the war] are unwound now, the more obvious will be the role of Pashinyan and the fact that he was unable to organize the activities of the country, two Armenian states during the war.
When a war is lost so narrowly, then the person who headed the state must leave,” Yusin noted.
