Patriarch Kirill approved the election of Metropolitan Onufry as head of the UOC MP

Kyiv, August 13 (Navigator, Mikhail Ryabov) – Patriarch Kirill approved the decision of the Council of Bishops of the UOC-MP and gave Metropolitan Onuphry a blessing to assume the post of primate.

“Until now, the only force that did not take sides in the civil confrontation in Ukraine was the Ukrainian Orthodox Church. I think that Metropolitan Onuphry will continue the wise policy of his predecessor, the late Metropolitan Vladimir,” said the head of the department, Vladimir Legoyda.
