Patriarch Kirill awarded for the restoration of the main Ossetian temple in Moscow
Patriarch of Moscow and All Rus' Kirill awarded philanthropist Albert Dzhussoev the Order of the Russian Orthodox Church of the Blessed Prince Daniil of Moscow, III degree, for his assistance in the restoration of the Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary on Kulishki in Moscow.
This temple is also called the Alan Compound. It conducts services in both Russian and Ossetian languages. Among the parishioners there are many people from Ossetia.
The first mention of the wooden Church of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary in Kulishki was found in 1547. She stood at the gathering place of the Russian army before the march to the Kulikovo field. The current building of the Church of the Nativity was built at the beginning of the 19th century.
It should be noted that large-scale restoration work in the temple was carried out as part of the celebration of the 1100th anniversary of the baptism of Alanya.
The restored temple was consecrated personally by the Patriarch.
The rector of the temple, Priest Vyacheslav Dzheiranov, conveyed the blessing of Patriarch Kirill, as well as the Order of the Russian Orthodox Church of the Blessed Prince Daniil of Moscow, III degree, to the entrepreneur-philanthropist, advisor to the head of the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania on a voluntary basis, Albert Dzhussoev for his assistance in the restoration.
Let us add that in recent years Dzhussoev has been actively supporting the construction and restoration of churches in different regions of the country.
