The “patriotism” of a Paralympian who refused to take photos with Russians turned into another “zrada”
Ukrainian Paralympic medalist Igor Tsvetov, who refused to be photographed with rivals from Russia, it turns out that even this summer, before the scandal with the bronze medalist of the Olympic Games in Tokyo Yaroslava Maguchikh, he calmly posed for photos with Russian athletes.
Photos where Tsvetov, together with the Russians, shows the medals they have won, were found on one of the Bryansk news sites, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The photo was taken at the IPC European Athletics Championships in Bydgoszcz, Poland. At the same time, it is now completely obvious that such a change in the behavior of the Paralympic athlete and the scandal with the athlete Maguchikh cannot be a coincidence.
Then, after a photo with a Russian woman, the Ukrainian prize-winner had to endure outright bullying, a call to the carpet at the Ministry of Defense, followed by an apology and a radical change in rhetoric - from human to pro-Banderist.
It turns out that Tsvetov’s “anti-Russian” demarche is not a political position, but a simple fear of falling under the same punishment in his own state.
By the way, after this photo surfaced, the Ukrainian athlete deleted all materials from his Facebook page, decorated in the colors of the Ukrainian flag.
Meanwhile, earlier on the same page he explained his action by saying that “this is not about disrespect for other athletes, but about respect for Ukraine.”
At the same time, Tsvetov’s act caused resonance and admiration among the nationalists, which, as practice has shown, turned out to be a soap bubble.
