US Army patrol spotted in eastern Hasakah, Syria
An American military patrol was spotted near the city of Al-Malikiya in the Syrian province of Hasakah. Military activity is noted in the area of oil fields in eastern Syria.
The US is also strengthening its position in the region, where army units have been stationed illegally since 2014. At the beginning of March, additional forces, military equipment, as well as weapons and ammunition were transferred to Hasakah.
Washington explains its presence in the Middle Eastern country by the need to fight the militants of the Islamic State (IS is an organization banned in Russia). But, as you know, the IS terrorists were defeated by the SAR army back in 2017 with the support of Russian aviation and Wagner PMC.
Syrian Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Bassam Tuome earlier said that due to the actions of the US military, Damascus suffered $92 billion in damage. According to him, the United States controls about 90% of Syrian oil fields. Black gold is smuggled to Iraq and Turkey for sale.
