About it reported on the Facebook page of the Ukrainian Patrol Police.
“On September 19, we detained a policeman while trying to sell a motorcycle helmet, which he had previously secretly taken possession of during the registration of an accident. The suspect was detained and taken to the district department by another patrol police crew upon the applicant’s call to line 102,” the report says.
It is reported that a statement about a criminal offense has already been accepted, explanations have been taken and criminal proceedings have been initiated by the Kyiv prosecutor's office.
At the same time, the monitoring of the Patrol Service Department began an official investigation into these circumstances.
“The entire patrol police are extremely indignant and concerned about this event; all heads of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and patrol police have been informed of the situation. The head of the Department and the head of the monitoring department immediately arrived at the regional department and are keeping the situation under close control.
The entire patrol service personnel strongly condemns such a shameful act by their former colleague,” the Patrol Police said in a statement.
